The Swiss Game Developers Association SGDA joins the new platform IT-Careers without borders. In light of recent events, SWICO, twofold, and Powercoders have come together and launched this new job platform specially targeted at refugees in search of jobs in the IT industry in Switzerland.
SGDA’s participation shall support the inclusion of game developers fleeing from their home countries, thus enabling them to continue with ongoing projects or join a local studio and help them build their lives here in Switzerland.
The collaboration combines valuable resources and networks that culminated in a specialized job platform helping refugees and migrants find jobs all over the country in a simple, easy-to-use interface. Job seekers simply provide their work permit type and experience level, and the website will present any job openings that could be a match!
The common platform aims at connecting refugees and migrants in Switzerland with IT companies offering qualified job openings or entry-level programs and orientation. SGDA’s participation ensures the inclusion of game developers fleeing from their home countries, thus enabling them to continue with ongoing projects or join a local studio and help them build their lives here in Switzerland.

SGDA direct help for game developers
Another resource for game developers fleeing their home countries can be found on our site Solidarity with Ukraine.
The website provides refugees with more information on work permits, accomodation, and contact details of NGOs and cantonal authorities. More importantly, the website gives an overview of ways in which SGDA can support game developers seeking refuge in Switzerland.
In a similar vein, Swiss game developers can find further information on how to help game developers who have fled their home countries. SGDA offers to coordinate this support and is currently accepting donations for this initiative.
