Important: the game enthusiast membership type is a passive membership (only the professional developer or artist membership comes with a voting right). As passive member you’ll be exclusively informed about the actions of the SGDA but you will not have voting rights in the association. As passive member you will receive favourable access to SGDA activities.
* As a student you can get a free membership if your school/institution is a participating member of the SGDA (see below where schools can register as a participating SGDA member to offer free membership for their students). The free membership comes without a voting right (the institution votes).

A corporate membership comes with a voting right (1 vote per company). Publisher-owned developers do not have voting rights. Corporate members receive exclusive invitations based on the tier (i.e. companies qualify for a limited amount of individual guests based on their company size). Companies see their logo featured on the SGDA website and member listing and can use the official SGDA membership logo in their communication.
