After we announced the\u00a0pioneering initiative\u00a0last year<\/a>, we are proud to report that\u00a0Switzerland’s first initiative to support games on a political and legal level<\/a> will finally be\u00a0up for vote in the canton of Zurich. The Representatives of the SGDA and our partner ZFF (Z\u00fcrich f\u00fcr den Film) have handed over\u00a09’000 collected signatures to the authorities. The citizens of Zurich will now be tasked to\u00a0vote about a new law that will include\u00a0support for games. Over six months the SGDA and ZFF have collected 3’000 signatures more than the 6’000 required. This is a great success and shows that games\u00a0deserve support as the emerging digital medium of the 21st century.\u00a0We’ll keep you posted as soon as the campaign starts.<\/p>\n
